The Goal is to engage young people in the environment, teach practical skills in crafts and shelter building, promote independence and resilience, foster cooperation and teamwork, and to encounter peace and quiet away from hectic metropolitan life.
Winter Camp Activities include wilderness skills, ice-fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, building Quinzees (traditional snow shelters) and riding fat bikes.
Participants will also experience Finnish culture and history and observe the locals' rich, authentic lifestyle in the wilderness. To relax and recover from the day's activities participants can experience the famous Finnish sauna and the ice dip.
